Do you have books that you would like to give a second life?
Each of us or someone from our family will find ourselves in hospital at some point. A hospital stay is always accompanied by stress. Is it possible that books can help combat the feeling of anxiety in patients? We believe so. We conducted surveys among patients and hospital staff and we have confirmation that there is huge interest and support for our idea.
In the first days of the project, we were contacted by a dozen or so people, schools and companies from all over Poland, and we know that the books are there and waiting for us. We have to transport them to us and then deliver them to hospitals. And this is just the beginning of our project. Every day, there are more and more people who want to give their books a second life and hospitals that want to accept such books. Let us connect them.
We are looking for partners/patrons who can help us implement our project.
You can help us in several ways:
Individuals - give us books/magazines. We collect new books and those in very good condition, with content for every age group (children, youth and middle school), in the following languages: Polish/English/German/French/Spanish/Ukrainian. New crayons/colouring books and crosswords are also welcome. You collect and pack the books, and the organisation and shipping costs are on our side.
Schools/libraries/companies - organize a book collection! New crayons/coloring books and crosswords are also welcome. The organization of the shipment and the cost of the shipment are on our side. We provide a package of promotional materials: A4 poster, template of an information e-mail, rules for organizing the collection, i.e. what to pay attention to. The final deadline for registering to organize book collections as part of our project: 31.03.2025.
Publishers - donate books/magazines to us.
Universities/Institutions/Media/Influencers - give us prestigious support - become our institutional patron or help promote our project - become our media patron.
Companies/organizations - support our activities financially. We need money to carry out our project. Sending books from partners and to hospitals is a costly logistical operation. Additionally, we buy new books for oncology/hematology departments for children.
Everyone - write about our project! Every mention on the website, post on FB or IG, LinkedIn, blogs, video blogs and article in the newspaper (including the school newspaper), mention on the radio/television (including the school newspaper) will provide us with new reach, i.e. opportunities for new partners and new books for hospitals.

How does the application process work for our project?
Just write an e-mail to us (𝐤𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐳𝐤𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐳𝐫𝐱@𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥.𝐜𝐨𝐦). In response, you will receive our guide with detailed instructions on how to prepare a fundraiser. There you will find all the necessary information, printing materials, etc. - we will guide you step by step through the entire event.
We are a well-coordinated and experienced project team.* Currently we are organizing a nationwide collection of books that we will deliver to hospitals throughout the country.
We are looking for books in perfect or very good condition, for both adults and children, in Polish, English, Spanish, French, German and Ukrainian.
*Selected examples of our projects: Conversations, or student for student - for over a year we have been conducting online conversations in English, Spanish and French for students from primary and secondary schools from all over Poland (including children from SOS Children's Villages); Let's talk, or student for students - Polish language learning for students from Ukraine; Virtual Donor Day - we organized an action with DKMS. We managed to register 21 potential donors.

Our project has won the ZWYRTAŁA AWARD 2025 for the best project that promotes reading
The contest is a part of the International Festival of Children's literature Rabka Festival, and we're unbelivably happy that our project was appreciated :)
This awards is for all of us – it's thanks to all of you, our wonderful partners and friends, we were able to achieve this great success! Your support and engagement makes our project a reality.

Summary 2024
We've gathered over 24,000 books and donated them to 70 hospital all across Poland!
During the finals of the competition ZWOLNIENI Z TEORII 2024 our project received two awards:
SREBRNEGO WILKA - for the best project in the voivodeship
and
ZŁOTEGO WILKA - for the best project in Poland in the category KULTURA
